Baseball drops opening series to USAO

The OLLU Saints baseball team opened its fifth season last weekend with a three-game series against the No. 11-ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) Drovers.

The Saints lost all three games, 7-4, 6-3 and 4-1 in a 12-inning finale.

Before the first game, OLLU alumnus David Marte threw out the first pitch. Marte played on the Saints inaugural team from 2015-2016. He became the first baseball player to earn his postgraduate degree – an MBA – in December 2019. Prior to the first pitch, Father Cristopher Robinson, the Saints Chaplain, gave the team a blessing.
