Alumna Angélica Casas to present ‘Women and Migration: Reporting on the Mujeres Y Niños Que Migra’

The OLLU community is invited to attend “Women and Migration: Reporting on the Mujeres Y Niños Que Migra,” featuring alumna Angélica Casas on Thursday at 7 p.m., in Providence Hall, West Social Room.

Casas is a BBC video journalist from San Antonio. Her reporting focuses on the impact of policy on underrepresented communities, immigration, borders and the arts. Most recently, she followed the Central American migrant caravans travelling to the US border.

She holds a Master of Journalism from the University of California Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where her thesis reporting focused on the long-term effects of gender violence in Ciudad Juárez. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Mass Communications and Spanish from OLLU.
