Dr. Grovijahn receives service-learning award
Dr. Jane Grovijahn, associate professor of Theology and Spiritual Action, received the Outstanding Faculty Contributions to Service-Learning in Higher Education Instruction award. This was presented at the Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Higher Education on April 4. The Gulf-South makes up 12 states in the southeast region of the United States.
The Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism (CSLV) nominated Dr. Grovijahn for this award because she continuously demonstrates engaged teaching methodologies and strong service-learning course integration, potent benefits to students, collaboration with community partners, and a sustained commitment to the service-learning pedagogy and community.
