OLLU’s float and participants have earned three awards for the 2019 Fiesta Flambeau.

The team won the following awards:

• Float – First place in the Community category
• Marchers – First place in the Marching Units category
• Overall – President’s Award in the special awards category

OLLU’s float for the Flambeau Parade was designed and built by Liz Longoria, university events manager and Alfonso Moya, university events assistant, with the assistance of students, and staff from Marketing and Communications, Institutional Advancement and Facilities Management. Participants in the parade included current students, staff members and alumni.

The parade’s theme was “Reflections of Music Past,” and OLLU’s float payed homage to the musician Prince.
