OLLU announced that the 13 athletics teams boasted a combined 3.117 GPA for the fall 2019 semester. This accomplishment comes on the cusp of OLLU’s largest class of scholar-athletes in 10 years. At the end of the 2018-2019 season, 120 student-athletes earned Red River Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete recognition. Athletic Director Shane Hurley commented, “We are extremely proud of the academic success of our student-athletes this semester. With 11 teams earning a 3.0 GPA or better, we are continuing to take the right steps to recruit, retain and graduate our student-athletes who will help shape the world tomorrow as scholarly alums of OLLU.”
