Students majoring in education and those seeking teacher certification are encouraged to apply for the annual Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers. Charles Butt Scholars receive up to $8,000 in annual funding for up to four years.
Scholars also receive mentorship from a local teacher or principal; professional development at the annual Charles Butt Scholars Symposium; participation in local cohort meetings of aspiring teachers; inclusion in an on-campus teaching club; professional support before and after graduation; and connection with Scholars across the state through an online platform.
