Rare issues of Chicano Times available digitally on Portal to Texas History

OLLU holds several issues of the rare newspaper Chicano Times in the Special Collections room on the third floor of the Sueltenfuss Library. The Chicano Times was a newspaper published in San Antonio from 1970 to 1977 and is a rich resource for documenting the history and social concerns of Mexican American people in the San Antonio area during the turbulent 1970s.

Recently, the library sent its copies of this newspaper for digitization through the Texas Digital Newspaper Program. The digitized images are available to view for free at the Portal to Texas History: https://texashistory.unt.edu/explore/collections/CHTMS/browse/?fq=untl_institution:OLLU

Inquiries about this item or any other Special Collections items held by the Sueltenfuss Library should be directed to Jason Paul Bourgeois, PhD, Cataloging and Special Collections Librarian, at jpbourgeois@ollusa.edu or 210-528-7138.
