OLLU has been awarded a $3,000 Campus COVID-19 Vaccine (CoVAC) Initiatives Mini-Grant to provide vaccine information, dispel myths and promote safety protocols. Designed to build confidence in the community, OLLU will use the grant to raise awareness and encourage vaccinations through the ConquerCovid Campaign.
The campaign will feature regular events during the fall semester where students can ask questions and receive information about testing and vaccine locations. The campaign will include a social media component and incentives for students to participate. Tables will be set up for questions and answers on Wednesdays during the community hour.
Graduate student Ana Hinojosa will be the Student Ambassador for the ConquerCovid Challenge. She works in Health Education at OLLU and is pursuing a master’s degree in Counseling.
