The university will be testing the Alert System and door-locking mechanisms on Friday at 4 p.m. Students, faculty and staff will receive text, email and recorded phone messages. In addition, automatic door locks will be locked for a short period during the test.
During the test, the messages will clearly state that a test is taking place. During an actual emergency, the message will state the nature of the emergency and provide sources for additional information.
Voice and text messages will be sent to:
- OLLU e-mail addresses
- Home phone numbers
- Cell phone numbers
