The Athletic Department announced the addition of new Assistant Athletic Trainer Alexandra Huron, LAT, ATC. She joins Assistant Athletic Trainer Abigail Garcia, LAT, ATC, and Head Athletic Trainer Corey Beechner, MS, LAT, ATC.
Beechner commented, “I am excited to officially welcome Alex to the OLLU family. Although she has been working with us as a part-time athletic trainer through Christus Santa Rosa, we have decided to hire her to our staff full time. She has already built a great rapport with our student-athletes, and it is comforting for them to have that consistency in care. She brings a lot of creativity and energy to the group, and we are lucky to have her join us.”
Huron received my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of the Incarnate Word in December 2016. She also works through the Christus Health System as a PRN Athletic Trainer when she is not at OLLU.
On the weekends, Huron enjoys dancing and cites her favorite color as pink and her favorite holiday is Halloween. She also works as an actor and director in the film industry here in San Antonio. Huron and her dog Chico reside in San Antonio.
