Dr. Anderson is new President-elect of Society for the Psychology of Women

Kathryn B. Anderson, PhD, professor of Psychology, is the new President-elect of The Society for the Psychology of Women, Division 35 of the American Psychological Association (APA). Dr. Anderson’s 2022-2023 presidency will begin at the APA convention in August in Minneapolis and will focus on: how the organization can reflect its inclusion of gender nonbinary and transgender people, prevention of gender-based violence with a focus on Indigenous and Black populations and development of pedagogical resources for critical examination of biased assumptions in evolutionary psychology. Dr. Anderson also plans to collaborate with APA leadership and other division presidents to engage in advocacy on pressing social issues.
