OLLU to host first Curriculum Disruption Week

OLLU will host its first Curriculum Disruption Week starting today – and continuing through Friday – to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Title IX.

Faculty, staff and student organizations are asked to take some time this week to “disrupt” their schedules and reflect on how Title IX relates to or has impacted their discipline, area or group.

Students are encouraged to participate through in-class or online discussions, assignments, activities, creative uses of social media (#TitleIX50atOLLU) and any other manners of engagement around Title IX to explore its past and present, its successes, failures and the collective hopes for its future.

Brittany Chozinski, PhD, Associate Professor of Sociology, and Nicole Monsibais, JD, Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator, are happy to address any concerns. Surveys will be emailed during Disruption Week, asking students about their class/group/office’s participation in the disruption and their interest in a PechaKucha-style showcase on Nov. 9.
