Free viewing and discussion of ‘Hidden Figures’
There will be a free viewing and discussion of the movie “Hidden Figures’ on Wednesday from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The film depicts the true story about Black mathematicians Katherine Gobel Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn and Mary Johnson who worked for NASA while the U.S. was trying to get the first rocket into space. The film gives insight into their personal lives and segregation during those times.
