Jacob Friesenhahn, PhD, Visiting Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, had five poems published in the May issue of Rundelania. Rundelania is a poetry magazine published by the Arts and Literature Division of the Central Library in Rochester, NY. 

Dr. Friesenhahn published “bouquet,” “Immaculate Conception,” “The Foolish Men and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz: A Dialogue,” “presence,” and “Matryoshka.” Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (1648-1695) was a Mexican scholar, religious sister, feminist, poet, philosopher, and mystic. She is the subject of two of the five poems. The common theme across all five poems is the divine feminine. Read the poems online.
