Student named Teacher of the Year at Sul Ross Middle School
Congratulations to Michelle Dominguez, a student in OLLU’s MEd program. She has won the Dr. Norman Hackerman Teacher of the Year Award at Sul Ross Middle School in Northside Independent School District (ISD).
Dominguez teaches 6th and 8th grade science and serves as the school’s science coordinator.
“Most importantly, I want to thank my students, for without them, I couldn’t have received this award,” said Dominguez, who has taught at Sul Ross for 13 years. “They are my inspiration and the major reason for innovating in the classroom. Together, we create and build; together we innovate; and together we are forging a brighter future for generations to come.
“Also, I want to thank my professors, my peers and my family who are my circle of support. This award belongs to all of us.”
