Automated and heat-generating fragrance diffusers not allowed in university buildings

The false fire alarms that occurred in Main Building last week are believed to be the result of a fragrance diffuser that triggered a smoke detector. To avoid this type of disruption, fragrance diffusers are no longer allowed in university buildings. This includes automated and heat-generating fragrance diffusers. And, as a reminder, candles or any type of open flame are strictly prohibited in university buildings.
