Senior Biology major Torrence Campos has received a fully-funded scholarship to attend the master’s program at the University of Texas-Tyler. The scholarship includes a teaching assistantship.
Campos was part of the EcoJEDI program at OLLU and traveled to Ashville, N.C., in the summer of 2023 to intern with the U.S. Forest Service at Bent Creek Experimental Forest.
Those experiences motivated her to pursue graduate school. Her new lab studies innate immunity and microbial changes in cnidarians.
