OLLU will show solidarity and unity throughout April by participating in the Teal Ribbon Campaign. Starting April 1st, you can pick up your teal ribbon at several campus locations, including the UWAC, Cafeteria, Library, Metz Hall, UPD, Walter Center, Elliot House, and Center for Student Involvement (Main 123). Wear your ribbon throughout the month to show support for survivors and victims of sexual violence.
This campaign aims to raise awareness about sexual violence, amplify survivors’ voices, and promote a safer, more respectful environment for all. Everyone deserves to live in spaces where they feel safe and respected. By working together, we can reduce sexual violence in our communities, schools, and workplaces.
Education is key to empowering communities to take action. This campaign seeks to change how we understand and respond to sexual violence by challenging misconceptions and building safer spaces. It also uplifts survivors’ voices, especially the most vulnerable, and encourages younger generations to shape a safer future.
Sexual violence affects everyone and can happen to anyone.
We invite you to learn more about Our Lady of the Lake University’s Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy on the Title IX page. For questions or support, please contact the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinators.
