The University Health mobile mammography unit is coming to Our Lady of the Lake University on Tuesday, May 6, offering convenient on-campus access to both 2D and 3D mammograms. The unit will be located by the UWAC circle and will be available from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m..
If you’re 40 or older—or between ages 35–39 with a doctor’s order—and haven’t had a mammogram in the past year, this is a great opportunity to take care of your health without leaving campus.
Things to Know Before You Go:
- Wear a two-piece outfit.
- Avoid lotion, deodorant, powder, or perfume on the chest and underarms.
- Screening takes 30 minutes or less.
- Financial assistance may be available to those who qualify.
