OLLU Community Shares Holiday Generosity Through Thanksgiving Basket Drive

This year, the OLLU community came together to spread holiday cheer by assembling fully stocked Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. Each basket included essential holiday meal items—such as stuffing, vegetables, rolls, mashed potatoes, and a gift card for a turkey or ham—with many departments adding extra touches like table settings and festive décor.

After being thoughtfully decorated and shared with the campus, the baskets were voted on by the OLLU community. While a few friendly winners were named — Chartwells (1st Place), OLLU Police Department (2nd Place), and the Department of Business and CISS (3rd Place) — the real impact of this effort lies in how these contributions will be used.

All baskets will be donated to the Madonna Center and the Lackland Fisher House, where they will help brighten the holiday season for local families, service members, and individuals experiencing hardship.

Thank you to every office, department, and individual who contributed. Your generosity reflects the heart of the OLLU mission and brings warmth and hope to our community during this season of gratitude.
