• Goods & Services: Must be received by May 29, 2026, to be recorded in FY26.
• Invoices: Accounts Payable will process FY26 invoices through June 30, 2026. Invoices received after this date will be recorded in FY27.
• Credit Card Purchases: Any charges made after the May 2026 statement cutoff will be processed in FY27.
• Credit Card Settlements: Submit all outstanding FY26 credit card expense reports with supporting documentation by June 19, 2026.
• Employee Reimbursements: All FY26 reimbursements must be submitted by June 30, 2026.

Dear OLLU Family,
In recent weeks, we have shared moments that reflect both our promise and our true potential. From the $1.82 million investment by the Bexar County Commissioner’s Court to complete the renovation of the Auditorium beneath Sacred Heart Chapel, to an extraordinary soon-to-be announced $1 million gift from philanthropist Harvey Najim to honor Trustee and former Board Chair Roy Terracina, these milestones reflect growing momentum and belief in our University.
You have also seen it firsthand: faculty and staff across our university coming together with renewed focus to advance Fall 2026 registration and enrollment and reach our goals. This alignment is the result of commitment, collaboration, and a shared belief in our mission.
All the while, we must be clear—higher education is changing rapidly. Expectations are shifting, competition is intensifying, and the path forward demands discipline, focus, execution, accountability, and alignment from all of us. Today’s higher education environment requires institutions to adapt with urgency, discipline, and an unwavering focus on students.

OLLU School of Business Inducts Nine Students into Delta Mu Delta
On Tuesday, April 28, the OLLU School of Business inducted nine students into Delta Mu Delta, the international honor society for business administration.
The Delta Lambda Chapter recognized the following students for their academic achievement: Maeva Chambon, Christina Delgado, Kristina Garcia, Angela Garcia, Lorena Gil, Jonathan Martinez, Arthur Pereira, Jocelyn Perez, and Jacoby Turner.
Membership in Delta Mu Delta is one of the highest honors a business student can receive. It is reserved for students who meet high academic standards and reflects both their dedication and their potential as future business leaders.

Changes to Requests for Event Set Ups
To ensure timely and accurate event preparations, please follow the process outlined below when submitting setup requests.
All event setup requests must be submitted through EMS at the time you make your room reservation. These requests will be routed to Grace Rios, Director of Campus & Community Engagement gerios@ollusa.edu, and she will ensure that Housekeeping has the request in their queue.
If your event requires a special setup, diagram, or layout, it must be submitted to Grace at least one (1) week in advance.
- Set up requests for tables, chairs, linens, podium, trash cans must be submitted through EMS when completing your room reservation.
- Set up requests for canopies, bar-b-que pits, and outside electrical equipment must be submitted through SysAid (Facilities Workorder)
- Requests for IT or audiovisual (AV ) services must be submitted through SysAid (Media Services Request)
- Please note that the portable stage is no longer available for use.
All linen requests need to be made through EMS at the time of reservation. We are no longer utilizing the Linen Request Form that was on Saints Connect.

SA Report: OLLU Secures Funding to Move Forward with Auditorium Renovation

The $3 million renovation of the historic auditorium at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) is back on track following a crucial $1.82 million grant from Bexar County. The project had been stalled since September 2025, when a portion of the federal funding originally secured in 2022 was canceled. This new county support, drawn from the general fund and strictly earmarked for construction costs, effectively bridges the financial gap that halted the restoration.
Slated for completion by the spring of 2027, the renovation will modernize the 5,600-square-foot space while preserving its historic character. The restored auditorium is expected to become a vibrant hub for the San Antonio community, hosting small business development activities, workforce training, regional events, and tourism initiatives.
The total funding package for the project also includes $815,000 in federal funds, with the final $365,000 to be covered by institutional resources and private donations. University officials emphasized the space’s long history as a site for community engagement—dating back to the 1960s—and noted that the updated facility will significantly enhance OLLU’s capacity to host large-scale public service events.
Dr. Valerie Martinez Appointed to San Antonio’s Diez y Seis Commission
Our Lady of the Lake University is proud to share that Dr. Valerie Martinez has been appointed by Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones to serve on San Antonio’s Diez y Seis Commission.

This appointment recognizes Dr. Martinez’s leadership and her commitment to advancing cultural celebration and community engagement in San Antonio. The Diez y Seis Commission helps support Hispanic Heritage Month programming and related cultural initiatives throughout the city.
We congratulate Dr. Martinez on this meaningful appointment and look forward to the impact she will continue to make through her service and leadership.
