ACE to host StudyCon: A Holistic Approach to Final Exams

The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) will host StudyCon on Wednesday from 6 – 9 p.m. in the Sueltenfuss Library. StudyCon offers students a holistic approach to preparing for exams. It includes massage therapy, yoga, meditation, art, music, prayer, food, and games, as well as tutoring in math, science, and writing, mental health support, and a prayer wall. Most importantly, StudyCon emphasizes taking care of yourself so you engage in long-term learning and long-term academic success.

Registration is available through the QR code on all the promotional flyers and at the event. Registrants qualify for raffle prizes; pre-registrants receive an extra raffle ticket.

StudyCon set for Wednesday

StudyCon offers students a holistic approach to preparing for exams by providing services and strategies for intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth. It includes massage therapy, emotional support dogs, yoga, meditation, art, music, prayer, food, and games, as well as interactive study tip sessions, wellness sessions, tutoring in math, statistics, accounting, and science, writing consulting, mental health support, and a prayer wall.

StudyCon will be held on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. on the first floor of the Sueltenfuss Library.

Pizza, tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.

Academic Center for Excellence launches web series, ‘Playing the ACE’

The Academic Center for Excellence’s (ACE) web series, “Playing the ACE,” has launched its fall 2021 season with a series of five, five-minute episodes about writing. Topics covered include how to break an assignment down into manageable parts, and how to avoid patchwork quotations.

These first five episodes of the season can be found on The ACE at OLLU’s YouTube channel. Links to each episode will be sent throughout the next five weeks. Playing the ACE episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 that featured ideas for learning and increasing academic success remain available on The ACE at OLLU’s YouTube channel.
