The university is excited to announce a call for presentation proposals for the 2024 OLLU Adelante Training and Development Conference, taking place on May 22 and 23. Sponsored by Staff Assembly, the conference will focus on training and development for OLLU employees working in roles outside of the classroom. All concurrent presentation sessions will take place on May 22 and will include a hybrid option for Houston and RGV participation. All employees are welcome.

Employees are encouraged to develop proposals for presentations that will share information, advance learning opportunities, and support professional growth for our OLLU community.

The conference will include in-person and virtual sessions. Supervisors are encouraged to work out a schedule that will allow all employees to attend sessions they are interested in or are relevant to their position.

In light of this opportunity to grow as a community, President’s Council has stated the following regarding attendance:

All employees are encouraged to participate in this wonderful opportunity. Supervisors are encouraged to develop schedules that will allow all interested employees to attend some of the training sessions while also ensuring there is adequate coverage for their offices which are expected to remain open all day.
