The OLLU women’s basketball team used a strong offense to defeat Louisiana Christian University (LCU) 75-53 on Saturday during Seniors’ Day. The Saints jump to 9-15 overall and 8-11 in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). The Wildcats drop to 10-13 overall and 7-12 in conference.
Cormia Lewis led the Saints with 21 points. Ariadna Gallardo gathered eight rebounds for OLLU. Carrie Barrera-Lacy and Lewis tallied four assists apiece.
The women’s basketball team defeated Texas College in Tyler on Dec. 2, 63-58, for its second straight victory. The Saints improve to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference. The Steers fall to 4-3 and 0-1.
Lopez led the Saints with 16 points. Carrie Barrera-Lacy tallied a team-high eight rebounds. Barrera-Lacy also led the Saints with five assists.
Raniya White led JCU with 16 points. Faith Robinson grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds and added 15 points for a double-double. Jacy Reese led the team with three assists.
