Congratulations to all the winners at the 2023 Faculty and Staff Awards dinner, held on April 25 in Chapel Auditorium. The winners:

Jane Grovijahn, PhD, won the 1895 Commemorative Award for Faculty Excellence. Jiletta Kubena, PhD, won the Francine Fleming Endowed Award. Debora K. Vasquez, MFA, was named the 2023-24 OLLU Moody Professor. Jamie Crosswhite, PhD, won the Excellence in Service-Learning Faculty Award. Angela Guzman Palacios, PhD, won The Agnes M. (Lehman) Gloyna Award for Technological Innovation in Teaching and Learning. Ronald Crowe, PhD, won the Word on the Street Reserved Parking Spot Award. James Crawford won the Part-Time Faculty Award for Creativity in Teaching. Valerie Martinez, PhD, won the Funtastic 5-Year Service Award. Alfredo Vaquiax-Alvarado, PhD, won the Stell-Ball Award.

Magnolia “Maggie” Ceballos won the Robert Davis Award for Service to Students. Denise Hinojosa won the Robert Davis Award for Service to Students. Sabrina Zertuche won the Rose Mary Saenz Award for Staff Excellence. Ann Margaret Cervantes won the Rose Mary Saenz Award for Customer Service. Jackie Walter won the Sr. Jane Ann Slater Leadership Award for Staff. Kristin O’Donnell, PhD, won the Sr. Jane Ann Slater Leadership Award for Faculty. Bernadette Solorzano, PsyD, won the Moye Legacy University Award. 

And University Chaplain Father Kevin Fausz, CM, VU, received a plaque in appreciation for his tireless, inspirational and longtime service to OLLU.
