Financial aid office working to expedite award notices

The OLLU Financial Aid Office has finally started receiving FAFSA files from the federal government after a more than five-month delay. In order to help expedite the processing and presentation of financial aid awards, financial aid staff will not be able to meet with walk-ins or take appointments from 2-5 p.m. each day from today through Friday May 17.

Walk-ins and appointments will be available prior to 2 p.m. each day. This will allow staff focus time to process applications and create award packages as quickly as possible.

Update on 2024-2025 FAFSA

The U.S. Department of Education has announced that FAFSA data will not be released to colleges and universities until mid-March. This means that OLLU will not be able to begin creating financial aid packages until late March or possibly early April. All colleges and universities are experiencing this same delay. It was caused by the launch of the new, simplified FAFSA form.

If you have not yet completed your FAFSA, you are strongly encouraged to do so now. The FAFSA is available at http://www.studentaid.gov.

For additional information on the new FAFSA, view theĀ OLLU FAQ page.
