Community invited to ‘Call to Action’

The OLLU community is invited to “A Call to Action – The Journey of a Servant Leader,” a dialogue facilitated by Dr. Jane Grovijahn with special guest, District 4 Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia. The event will take place on Thursday at 5 p.m. in Main Building, Room 311. Listen to the story of Dr. Rocha Garcia’s journey of faith that led her to see public service as a way of life and a calling and learn how you can answer your own call to vote at this year’s upcoming election.

Retirement celebration for professors to be held Wednesday

A retirement celebration for five distinguished professors who have devoted “A Century of Service” to OLLU will be held in the Sueltenfuss Library on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

The retiring professors are Jane Grovijahn, PhD; Lucinda Juárez, PhD; and Leah Larson, PhD. Sister Margit Nagy, CDP, PhD; and James Zeitz, PhD; who retired during the pandemic, will also be celebrated.

Light appetizers, cake and drinks will be served.

The retiring professors are Jane Grovijahn, PhD; Lucinda Juárez, PhD; and Leah Larson, PhD. Sister Margit Nagy, CDP, PhD and James Zeitz, PhD also will be recognized during the celebration. COVID restrictions previously prevented a proper celebration of their retirements.
