Twelve McNair Scholars presented at UCLA conference

Twelve OLLU McNair Scholars delivered Summer Research Institute research presentations, virtually, at the UCLA McNair Conference last week.

Presentations were broadcast live from Room 222 in OLLU’s Main Building. Victoria Lambert (Chemical Biology), Kaitlyn Salazar (Kinesiology), Laura Miguel (Multimedia Journalism and Spanish Interpretation and Translation) and Miguel Barrera (Psychology) presented on Wednesday. Elegy Garcia (Criminal Justice), Samantha Martinez (Psychology), Geslyn Rios (Communication Sciences and Disorders), Melanie Padron (Marketing) and Kelly Salinas (Chemical Biology) presented on Friday. Sheccid Rosales (Psychology/Social Work), Adriana Valdez (History) and Marissa Antu (English) presented on Friday.

McNair Scholars program accepting applications

The McNair Scholars program is accepting applications for the fall 2014 cohort. The McNair Scholars program prepares undergraduate students who are interested in earning a master’s degree or PhD. McNair Scholars conduct original research, present at conferences, attend cultural events, and network with other McNair Scholars around the country.
