Women’s cross-country wins Bill Libby Invitational

CCWomen9-8-14-2The women’s cross-country team made history this weekend after capturing its first-ever regular season meet at the Fifth Annual Bill Libby Invitational sponsored by McMurry University. Freshmen Jazmine Garcia and Gabriela Guerrero and senior Erica Ramos came in first, second and fifth respectively. Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, “As an alumnus of McMurry and having coached there before, I have a lot of respect for the program that Coach (David) Chandler and Coach Parris are running there. For our women to beat their women by seven points and for their men to beat or men by seven points is a fun coincidence. We still have a long way to go, but I am very proud of the way both the men and women represented OLLU in Abilene.”
