Sisters of Divine Providence transfer Convent to OLLU

Our Lady of the Lake University has completed purchase of the Convent from the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence (CDP), a transfer that will enable OLLU to transform a historic building into a modern space for students, faculty and staff.

Sister Pearl Ceasar, CDP, and Anthony Turrietta, OLLU Vice President of Finance and Facilities, signed the title papers on March 29.

A public transfer ritual will be held after the spring semester and the OLLU community will be invited.

“The vision is to make the building a welcome center for incoming students,” Turrietta said. “Enrollment management and graduate enrollment will be housed there, along with administrative offices that work with enrollment.”

OLLU is working with master planners on the renovation project.
