Time to prepare payment plan for spring semester

It’s Nov. 20. Have you registered and made your payment plan for the spring semester?

Contact the Student Business Office for assistance with setting up a payment plan and Get it Done by Dec. 1. Students only need to set up a payment plan at this point. The first payment is not due until Jan. 2, 2024, unless you enroll in a five-payment plan option in which case the first payment is due Dec. 2. If you set up a payment plan before Dec. 1, you’ll receive a free t-shirt. T-shirt has to be picked up in the Student Business Office.

Students who complete these steps before leaving campus are able to more easily receive assistance, if needed. For more help:

Time to talk to advisers about spring semester

It’s Nov. 13. Have you talked to your adviser about the spring semester?

Go now and Get it Done by Dec. 1.

This is the university’s reminder for students to get advised, complete class registration and set up a payment plan before leaving campus at the end of the fall semester.

Dean’s List reception to be held Wednesday in Main

A reception for 264 students who made the Dean’s List in the spring will be held on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Main Building, Room 311.

Nick Lopez, Director of University Ministry, will open with prayer. Sabrina Zertuche, Interim Retention Specialist, will provide the welcome and Candace Zepeda, PhD, Dean of Academics, will offer congratulatory remarks.

School and faculty chairs will present the spring honorees. Nearly 60 honorees will attend in person. Others will watch the ceremony online.

Refreshments will be provided.

Convocation set for tomorrow

The official opening of the academic year for faculty and staff begins tomorrow with Convocation. It will take place at 10:30 a.m. in Thiry Auditorium.

Convocation will include a special presentation from Sister Rose Kruppa, CDP, the new superior general of the Congregation of Divine Providence, the university’s sponsoring order. In addition, there will be addresses from Board of Trustees Chair Paul Olivier, Faculty Assembly President Dr. Wallis Sanborn, Staff Assembly President Sabrina Zertuche and Student Government Association President Rachel Dziuba. President Abel A. Chávez, MBA, PhD, will present the final address as he lays out his plans and vision for the academic year.

Convocation will be followed by lunch which will be served in Chapel Auditorium.
