Psychology professor featured in New York Times article

Stephanie Zepeda, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychology and Program Director at OLLU-Houston, was a featured expert in a New York Times article about couples and financial matters.

The article, “Ask These 11 Money Things Before Moving In With Your Partner,” was published on Dec. 11 and updated on Dec. 31, 2023.

On Jan. 24, the writer, Anna Sale, cited Dr. Zepeda in a National Public Radio interview on the same topic.

OLLU-Houston MFT faculty hold successful conference

The OLLU-Houston MFT faculty, under the Direction of Stephanie Zepeda, PhD, recently held its Sixth Annual Life Changing Conversations Conference for postmodern, social constructionist thinkers to share their work and generate new ideas.

On June 9 and 10, presenters led workshops on a range of topics, such as “Always Adapting: Children of Immigrant Parents” and “Effective Therapy from a Collaborative-Dialogical Lens.”

Presenters included former and current students and faculty from the San Antonio and Houston campuses and out-of-state therapists. Debbie Healy, PsyD, Professor of Psychology, delivered the keynote. Stephanie Zepeda, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychology, and Adriana Gil-Wilkerson, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychology, delivered an Ethics presentation.
