Doctoral student inducted into her high school’s Hall of Fame

Congratulations to doctoral student Tyleen Caffrey. She was recently inducted into the Golden City High School Hall of Fame in Missouri for “Academic Accomplishments.” Caffrey has a BA in Music, a BSW, an MSW and is pursuing a PhD in Social Work at OLLU. She also is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) and teaches social work at Eastern New Mexico University. 

Doctoral student inducted into her high school’s Hall of Fame

Tyleen Caffrey, a doctoral student in Leadership Studies, was inducted into the Golden City High School Hall of Fame for “Academic Accomplishment” on Friday in Golden City, Mo.

A 1993 graduate of Golden City, Caffrey has three degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work. A Certified Nurse Practitioner, Caffrey is pursuing a PhD in Leadership Studies at OLLU and teaches social work at Eastern New Mexico University.  

The Hall of Fame plaque cites, in part, the following: “As a former foster youth and first-generation college student, her research interest surrounds underrepresented, first-generation, and under-prepared social work students, and macro social work practice. In addition, she is conducting her research dissertation on the impact of deception of military impersonation.”
