Women’s indoor track and field sets two records

The women’s track and field team opened its season at the Crimson & Gold Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State University.

Head Coach Brett Charlton commented, “The women’s team competed really hard today, which is a lot to build off of heading into Christmas break. Larrisa McHenry ran extremely well, and she set the school record in the 60m. Aziza Clark also competed very well, and she set the school record in the 600 yards, just outside the National standard.”

Women’s track and field off to a good start at UTSA Invitational

The women’s track and field team broke three records at the University of Texas at San Antonio Invitational on March 15-16. The event featured NCAA D1 schools from throughout the country.

Head Coach Patrick Torres commented, “Aziza Clark was performer of the meet. She had a huge run. We also had some very promising marks across the board. The early season is looking good for OLLU right now.”

Victoria Urbanczyk broke two records at the meet in fielding events. She had a mark of 12.57m in the shot put and placed ninth overall. Her mark in the discus was 31.35m, where she placed eighth overall.

Aziza Clark broke the 400m hurdles record with a time of 1:01.88 for  a third-place finish.
