Alumna to speak at World Teachers Day event 

Flodanna A. Jackson (BS 1995), EdD, will share her inspiring journey in education on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Main Building, Room 225 as part of the World Teachers Day 2022 celebrations. The TAFE Education Club and Education Department are hosting the event.

Dr. Jackson credits OLLU for providing the strong foundation that enabled her to become a dynamic educational leader. Presently the assistant principal in one of the largest school districts in Georgia, Dr. Jackson has developed expertise in her field through 25 years of experience as a teacher, academic coach, reading specialist, trainer and center director.

Mark your calendars for Oct. 6 guest speaker event for World Teachers Day

OLLU alumna Dr. Flodonna A. Jackson (BS 1995) will be the guest speaker on Oct. 6 when the OLLU Education Department and TAFE Education Club host a speaker series event in honor of World Teachers Day.  Dr. Jackson will speak from 4-5 p.m. in Main Building, Room 225.

Dr. Jackson, an assistant principal in one of the largest school districts in Georgia, credits OLLU for giving her a strong foundation to be an excellent educator and leader.  Her career spans 25 years and includes teaching at elementary and middles school levels, academic coach, reading specialist, trainer and center director of an alternative high school. She also has held State Department of Education and district level positions as instructional support specialist and assessment specialist.
