The OLLU women’s basketball team won two conference games on the road this past weekend. On Friday, the Saints defeated Jarvis Christian College 76-62 and on Saturday, the women beat Texas College 99-84. The wins move the Saints to 13-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 23-3 overall, while Jarvis drops to 9-8 in conference and 13-8 overall. Texas College sinks to 2-15 in conference and 2-28 overall. The Saints are one game behind league-leader Wiley College (14-1/25-2) and two games ahead of third-place Langston University (12-5/16-11). LSU-Shreveport (9-6/17-9) is five games behind, followed by Huston-Tillotson University (9-7/11-13), Jarvis, University of St. Thomas (7-9/14-14), Bacone College (4-12/8-16), Texas College, Southwest (1-15/3-19) and Paul Quinn College (3-17).
