The men’s soccer team lost to Wayland Baptist University (WBU) 4-1 on Sept. 6. The Saints lost to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Sept. 5. OLLU took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute when sophomore Nickolas Tyrpak found a loose ball in front of goal and put it in the back of the net. The Saints were unable to hold on to the lead and WBU found an equalizer in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot. The game remained at 1-1 until the 67th minute when WBU’s Juan Sanchez made it 2-1. The Pioneers added two more goals in the 77th and 90th minute for the final score of 4-1. The Saints will now travel to Prescott, Arizona to take on Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Sept. 12.
