The volleyball team crept by Red River Athletic Conference opponent University of the Southwest (USW) Friday night to win 3-1.  The win moves the Saints to 10-7 overall and 6-1 in conference, while  USW drops to 7-13 overall and 3-4 in conference. The four sets were as close as two points and no more than four points apart. OLLU attempted 15 more attack attempts and succeeded in 14 more kills than the Mustangs. OLLU’s Alysha Blanco (JR/El Paso, Texas) led both teams in kills with 18 and a .500 hitting percentage. The Saints will continue their road schedule on Oct. 14 in Brownsville against the University of Texas at Brownsville for a conference match, and on Oct. 17, the Saints will play Wiley College, and on Oct. 18, they will play Texas College at 11 a.m. and Jarvis Christian College at 4 p.m. Read full story online.
