Women’s basketball logs 53-point win over Bacone

Women’s basketball overpowered the Bacone Warriors with a 104-51 win. This is the Saints’ sixth time this season reaching the century mark, and they continue to lead the nation in scoring with an average of 93 points per game. With the win, the Saints move to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference. OLLU – the No. 19 team in the NAIA – is tied with Wiley College (9-1/4-1), the No. 6 team in the NAIA. The Wildcats dropped from first place after losing to Texas College 73-70. Langston University – the No. 9 team in the NAIA – is now alone at the top of the Conference with a 12-0 overall and 5-0 conference record. They beat Huston-Tillotson 94-83 after defeating the Saints on Friday 91-86. The Saints will face a major test on Jan. 16, when they travel to Marshall, Texas, to play Wiley College.
