CWCS to host ‘Human Trafficking: The Role of Social Service Providers’

Human_Trafficking_Flyer_Updated_6216The Center for Women in Church and Society is hosting the event, “Human Trafficking: The Role of Social Service Providers,” on June 21 from 1-4 p.m. in Providence Hall, West Social Room. The event will feature presenters Carmen Vasquez from the Rape Crisis Center and Chris Kaiser from the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault.

The event will provide an overview of the different forms of human trafficking in the United States, review factors that contribute to the problem, and discuss the impact on victims. Vasquez and Kaiser will also discuss the implications for social service providers in the aid of identifying and intervening with victims as well as legislation and policies.
