Volleyball defeats Wiley College in three sets

volleyball-vs-wileyThe Saints volleyball team utilized a well-balanced attack to work past the Wiley College Wildcats’ imposing frontline for a victory in three sets (25-18, 25-23, 26-24). Working against the NAIA leader in blocks per set (3.3), the Saints traded an efficient attack for one that spread the wealth. Three players recorded at least five kills to overcome 10 Wildcats’ blocks and the third-lowest hitting percentage (.084) of their season. The Saints improved to 16-6 and 8-1 in RRAC play, keeping pace with the University of the Southwest (21-5, 8-1). Wiley dropped to 10-10 for the season and 5-4 in conference.
