Malcolm Ree, PhD, OLLU’s 2016-2017 Moody Professor, will present his public lecture, “Statistical Failures of Why I Didn’t Get the Expected Results,” tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. in Main Building, Room 311.
Dr. Ree joined the OLLU Leadership Studies faculty in 1998. He currently teaches research methods and statistics classes and has published more than 75 articles in referred journals, several book chapters and is on the editorial board of several professional journals.
During his lecture, Dr. Ree will discuss the statistical artifacts he has experienced throughout his four decades of research and how to rectify those artifacts or to account for them when making inferences.
The Moody Professorship is a shared program with the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). It was established in 1971 through a gift from the Moody Foundation of Galveston. It provides two endowed professorships each year—one at OLLU and one at UIW. Moody professors from both universities present lectures on each campus.
