The women’s and men’s basketball teams triumphed over the University of St. Thomas and Texas College this past week to open their Red River Athletic Conference Schedule. The women defeated St. Thomas 88-75 last Thursday, and on Saturday, they beat Texas College 112-57. The women move to 7-4 overall and 2-0 in the RRAC. The men won 59-54 over St. Thomas, and 85-71 against Texas. They move to 5-5 overall and 2-0 in conference.

The teams will return home for a pair of conference games on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the women will play Wiley College at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the women play Jarvis Christian College at 5:30 p.m. and the men will follow at 7:30 p.m.
