Adrian Delgado is named to the NAIA Men’s Soccer All-American Honorable Mention Team

Men’s soccer player Adrian Delgado has been named to the 2017 NAIA Men’s Soccer All-American Honorable Mention Team. Delgado is the first-ever men’s soccer player to earn this honor. Head Coach Shane Hurley commented, “The team and coaching staff are immensely proud of Adrian. He has consistently been hard working and internally motivated as a student and athlete. It’s wonderful to see someone get rewarded for doing the right things.” Delgado led the Saints to a second-place finish in the conference. He led the team in goals with 14. His records included: a tie for the most goals scored in a season with 14, fourth all-time in goals scored with 17. This season, he scored a hat trick against Jarvis Christian College, and in 18 games played, he recorded four assists, and along with his 14 goals, tallied 32 points. He took 42 shots, 27 of which were on goal. He scored two game-winning goals. He led the conference in points/game (32/1.78), goals/game (32/.78). Delgado led the Saints to a 9-7-2 overall record and 7-2-1 in the conference.
