OLLU women’s track and field wins first-ever RRAC Championship

For the first time in OLLU history, the Saints women’s track and field team captured the Red River Athletic Conference title with a total of 215 points.
Head Coach Stephen Sherman commented, “The women put together one of the better team efforts I have ever been a part of. It’s clear to me that we were truly aligned with the goal of winning this championship. To be sure, it’s the most well-rounded effort we have ever put together. We won with distance runners, we won with sprinters, we won with hurdlers, and we won with jumpers. I really could not be much more proud of what we’ve been able to build at OLLU. That being said, Coach Terry Smith deserves a lot of credit for his part in all of this, and of course it begins and ends with the athletes themselves. I’ll always remember this one.” See full results on ollusaintsathletics.com.
