Baseball wins series against Victoria

The baseball team won their second Red River Athletic Conference series of the season after defeating the University of Houston-Victoria 5-4, 9-8, 5-4 and 10-4. The first three games were conference games and were all won on walk-off hits. The final game was a nonconference matchup. The Saints finish out their conference season with a 16-11 record and improve to 25-27 overall. The Jaguars drop to 14-31 overall and 10-17 in their last game of the season after not qualifying for the conference tournament. Prior to the game on Saturday, the Saints recognized seniors Russell Brown, Jordan Hackett, Mike Light, JB Martinez, Caleb Mireles, Jesus Ramirez, Matthew Rodriguez and Enrique Ruiz III. The Saints will now get set for the conference tournament that begins this Friday in Shreveport, La.
