The Law and Politics Society (LPS) will host a vice presidential debate watch party at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Providence West Social Room.
Due to social distancing, up to 24 people can join the watch party, which will last until 10:30 p.m. To accommodate those who cannot attend in person, OLLU will provide a WebEx link to join virtually.
People who attend in person are encouraged to bring a pen and paper to take notes and write questions. Afterward, there will be a discussion of the issues that were debated.
OLLU will also hold debate watch parties on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22. An important reminder: The last day to register to vote is today. Early voting will be held Oct. 13-30. Election Day is Nov. 3.
The Commission on Presidential Debates has chosen OLLU as a DebateWatch2020 participant. Only five universities in Texas have received that designation.
