OLLU’s Michelle Avila (BBA 1993), CPA, associate professor of accounting and accounting program head, has been honored as a recipient of the Texas Society of CPA’s Outstanding Accounting Educator Award.
The award consists of a plaque, $500 and recognition during the TXCPA Mid-year Board of Directors Meeting. TXCPA chairman Jerry Spence will present the award via Zoom on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
Professor Avila thanked and credited her colleagues for the award.
“None of my accomplishments would be possible without your help and leadership,” she said. “All I aspire is to have touched students’ lives positively, and that our brief encounter will transform them into men and women of God who will go out to make this world a better place.”
