Women’s golf welcomes Alexis Calzada

The women’s golf team welcomes Alexis Calzada, a freshman from Georgetown, Texas.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, “OLLU women’s golf is excited for the addition of Alexis. I am very excited that she decided to come to OLLU. We have a young team, and she is a great young addition. To be successful in golf, you have to become familiar with discipline and hard work, and that’s what we pride ourselves on here. Her work ethic and positivity will be a perfect fit for OLLU golf. In building our program, we must get the right student-athletes. When it comes to Alexis, I’m excited about her potential. I’m looking forward to our women’s success in the future. Go, SAINTS!”

In high school, Calzada, a Business Marketing major, earned Academic All-District, the FCA Golf Cup Art Adams Character Award, First-Team All-Tournament Colovista Invitational and Second-Team UIL All-District, and she was a three-year varsity letter.

The OLLU women’s golf team begins competing this season after playing their last tournament in 2011.
