Reusable cups can be used in the cafeteria again

Students and employees can again use reusable cups when getting coffee and fountain drinks in the cafeteria.

Going forward, students who use a standard-sized, reusable cup can purchase fountain drinks for .50 cents. Oversized cups, jugs, bottles and other containers are not allowed.

Use of reusable cups is an initiative of the Student Government Association to reduce waste and promote sustainability. The use of reusable cups had been halted due to the pandemic. They are being reintroduced after consultation with Chartwells’ and OLLU’s COVID response teams, and recent research that indicates that surface transmission is not as great a concern as originally thought.
